Night @ The Lab

The Night @ The Lab competitions are heating up across the state of Kansas as participants gear up for the statewide competition in Kansas City on November 16-17.

Sponsored by the KU Area Health Education Center, Kansas high school students are given the opportunity to explore the connections between health and science and showcase their knowledge to the community.

Students research medical topics, give an oral presentation and create a visual display as part of the competition. The students gain valuable experience in both research and professional presentation skills. Each school participating will have one team of three students to represent their school at one of the six regional competitions across the state. Each team's presentation will be judged by a panel of community volunteers.

The top team from each of the regional competitions will advance to the statewide competition held at the KU Medical Center on November 16-17. At this event, medical center staff and faculty will judge the presentations.
