For 25 years, KU Center for Telemedicine and Telehealth (KUCTT) has collaborated with communities to connect Kansas patients with specialty providers via telemedicine. KUCTT began its silver jubilee by presenting Telehealth Hero Awards to some of the exceptional community professionals across Kansas who champion telemedicine for patients and families.

Don’t miss your opportunity to meet resident physicians, health care job seekers and students at the 23rd Kansas Career Opportunities (KCO). This annual health care career fair is held each fall in Wichita and Kansas City and offers an opportunity for resident physicians, health care job seekers and students to network with employers from all across Kansas.

Sun Safety Program Recognized by CDC

Pool Cool, a sun safety program coordinated by Midwest Cancer Alliance and Kansas Cancer Partnership, has been recognized by the Centers for Disease Control as a successful cancer control program.

The Breast Center at St. Catherine Hospital to host a breast cancer symposium

The Breast Center at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, in collaboration with KU Medical Center Area Health Education Centers, will host a breast cancer symposium on May 20, 2017 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. This event, in its third year, is for regional health care professionals.

Jayhawk Health Initiative

Jayhawk Health Initiative is a new program at the University of Kansas Medical Center which aims to provide medical students and pre-health students with an opportunity to enhance their knowledge by engaging in service-based experiential learning.

2017 Kansas Immunization Conference

The 2017 Kansas Immunization Conference will be held in Salina June 6-8. Between 300-350 health care professionals from Kansas usually attend the annual event. The theme for the 2017 conference is creating a unified message to increase vaccine acceptance.
