The Breast Center at St. Catherine Hospital to host a breast cancer symposium

The Breast Center at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, in collaboration with KU Medical Center Area Health Education Centers, will host a breast cancer symposium on May 20, 2017 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. This event, in its third year, is for regional health care professionals.

Presentations will focus on breast cancer genetics, exercise during treatment, surgical and lymphedema management and chemoprevention.

Speakers for the event include Tammy Davis, PTA, CLT with Rehab Care, Wichita; Gretchen Dunford, D.O., general surgeon at St. Catherine Hospital;  Anis Toumeh, M.D., medical director, The Breast Center at St. Catherine Hospital;  Jennifer Klemp, Ph.D., MPH, associate professor, Breast Cancer Prevention Center, University of Kansas Medical Center; and Meghan McFee, formerly with the Garden City Recreation Commission as a personal trainer and cancer exercise specialist.
