Dinner program highlights Digestive Disease Week 2017

Since many practicing physicians cannot attend the Digestive Disease Week (DDW) meeting in Chicago, the highlights dinner, planned for June 22, 2017, provides an update on relevant issues presented in gastrointestinal diseases.

This highly-rated GI program has been held in the Kansas City metro for the past 16 years. It is attended by more than 75 gastroenterologists and endoscopists of the region.

The goal of the highlights program is to improve competence and practice performance in the diagnosis and management of common gastrointestinal disorders by providing cutting-edge information on the use of guidelines and treatment strategies. A brief synopsis of recent relevant issues in gastrointestinal diseases for clinical gastroenterologists will be covered. Each topic will include a speaker presentation and discussion of 10–12 clinically important and seminal abstracts presented during DDW 2017 followed by an interactive question and answer session.

Our speakers will have attended the DDW 2017 Meeting in Chicago, Illinois, and will then integrate what was presented at the national meeting into the current environment/knowledge base. They will present new and controversial topics, followed by pro-con and case discussions.

This program is designed for clinical gastroenterologists, GI fellows and residents, and is approved for a maximum of 2.5 AMA PRA category 1 credits.
