    Midwest Cancer Alliance members in locations across Kansas are offering a free smoking cessation program this spring. Contact Susan Krigel, Ph.D. at 913-945-7534 to sign up.
    In seven 1-hour sessions you’ll learn about:
    • Benefits of quitting
    • Strategies for cessation success
    • How to cope with triggers like stress and boredom
    • Medications that may be helpful
  • June 8 - July 13, Thursdays 5:30-6:30 p.m. Going Forward: Cancer Survivorship Connections A free, 6-session support program provided over the phone for cancer survivors who have received their care at the following MCA-member locations: Olathe Health Systems, Salina Regional Health Center, Truman Medical Center, or St Francis Health. For more information contact: Susan Krigel, Ph.D., at skrigel@kumc.edu. From the privacy of your home, survivors can connect to share questions and concerns and learn more about:
    • Being active in cancer survivorship
    • Nutrition for the cancer survivor
    • Exercise for the cancer survivor

    Cancer patients and others with chronic disease are invited to join Midwest Cancer Alliance for free cooking demonstrations & tips on ways to choose the healthiest ingredients, make food more appealing and spark appetites.
